Weddings at GSPC

General Information: Facilities available at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church (GSPC) include a sanctuary with seating for 200 guests, parking for 200 guests, dressing rooms and beautiful grounds. Please note that GSPC is a non-smoking facility. GSPC does not currently have a reception facility or kitchen available for your use. However, it is possible for you to use our beautiful grounds for an outdoor reception. If you use our outdoor facilities for your reception, you will be responsible for insuring that the caterer, wedding party, and/or the family clean the grounds and return them to their original state. Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church views a wedding ceremony as a worship service. As such, we request that you use careful consideration when selecting the musicians and the music for your wedding ceremony. A grand piano is available for your musicians to use. Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church requires that every wedding scheduled in our facilities utilize a sound technician provided by the church for the wedding ceremony. A deposit check or money order in the amount of $100.00 must be received by the church to reserve your rehearsal date and wedding date.

The GSPC Wedding Facilitator, Leighton Mims, will act as liaison between you and our church. Please contact the Wedding Facilitator for any and all information regarding your rehearsal and wedding ceremony at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. You must confirm your wedding date with the Wedding Facilitator and your Minister before making any formal announcements of your wedding date and time. If the pastor who will be officiating at the wedding ceremony is not a PCA minister in the Ocala area, we will need the following items included with the wedding application: A letter providing a statement of his ordination and a copy of his license. Please Note: This requirement is to insure that your wedding will be officiated by a person recognized by the State of Florida as legally licensed to perform wedding ceremonies.

Staff available to help with your wedding include: Ted Strawbridge, Senior Pastor; Steve Germany, Director of Worship Arts; Ricky Hendrix, Pianist; Leighton Mims, Wedding Facilitator; sound technicians as required. If you request that Ted Strawbridge officiate at your wedding ceremony, please contact Pastor Ted Strawbridge at least two (2) months in advance to confirm his availability and schedule your required Premarital Counseling sessions.
