Worship
At Good Shepherd, worship is more than just the songs we sing on Sunday mornings. Worship is offering our lives back to God: to serve and glorify Him.
"Offer your bodies as living sacrifices...this is your spiritual act of worship." (Romans 12)
"He has shown thee, O man, what is good and what the Lord requires of you. To do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."(Micah 6:8)
We strive to keep in mind a broad view of worship. Worship is thanksgiving, repentance, renewal, mercy, prayer, preaching, kindness, compassion, and patience. When we exhibit these things in our lives, we honor our Father in heaven.
"Worship is the active process of engaging in communion with God, whereby His attributes are revealed and acknowledged; His Word is honored and obeyed; and His presence is experienced and enjoyed."
- Scott Puckett
